Research Experience

LENS Lab - SmolVLA Autonomy with Robotic Arms

January 2026 - Present
  • Trained VLA policies using LeRobot and deployed to SO-101 for imitation learning manipulation tasks.
  • Utilized action chunking to smooth movement and reduce unstable arm motion during rollout.
  • Collected and constructed datasets with leader/follower environments.
  • Developed workflows for SmolVLA, ACT, GR00T, and PI0.5.

Dr. Huang O2 Labs - Cybersecurity AIxCC DARPA Challenge

August 2024 - February 2026
  • Researched and designed systems capable of autonomously finding vulnerabilities and generating patches.
  • Placed 4th as a finalist team, finding 28 real-world vulnerabilities in codebases and patching 14.
  • Presented work at DEFCON 33 and published a technical report to arXiv.
  • Designed agentic solutions to experiment with RAG, effects of few-shot prompting, and similar LLM techniques.
  • Evaluated models with custom benchmarks for measuring effectiveness on different tasks within the challenge.
  • Detected real vulnerabilities in open-source projects following the AIxCC competition.

  • Automated inventory management for AI initiatives within the compliance department.
  • Implemented Power Automate flows saving 20+ labor-hours weekly.
  • Wrote scripts and internal workflows to surface compliance risks and summarize initiative status.

TDIndustries - Manufacturing Assistant Project Manager Intern

  • Researched 10+ automation opportunities to improve manufacturing capacity and quality by up to 200%.
